Eric Wimbley
CEO, Owner, Consultant
Eric Wimbley, is the founder of First Line Risk Management Consulting. He is a retired commander of the Michigan State Police, experienced High School teacher, with additional years of working in the college setting.
His primary goal in this organization is to collaborate and empower people to create the emotionally and physically safe environment they want to work, learn, and grow in.

Carl Lafata, Ph.D.
Facilitator, researcher
Carl Lafata, Ph.D., is an associate professor in Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Department of Criminal Justice. Prior to joining the faculty, he served for nearly two decades as a sworn peace officer in Michigan and California.
Dr. Lafata earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Western Michigan University, a master’s degree in criminal justice administration from Oklahoma City University, and a doctorate in sociology from Western Michigan University with areas of concentration in criminology and social psychology. He has taught dozens of courses related to sociology, social psychology, and policing, wrote textbooks, and advised innumerable students. Dr. Lafata has researched and documented the effects of fear in his latest published law enforcement textbook.

Jeffrey Berg
Consultant, researcher
Jeffrey Berg is a retired High School teacher out of Pennfield, MI where he taught for 23 years, and served as a union treasurer. He holds a B.A. in political science, and Business Administration, and an M.A. in Career Education.
As with most educators Jeff took on many additional roles with students and peers; he was a School to Work coordinator and coached or assisted in multiple sports. Over more than two decades of working in education Jeff has witnessed and felt firsthand the impact on learning due to the changing environment.

Randel L. Pompey
Consultant, Facilitator
Thirty-Seven years in law enforcement. Twenty-five years as a police commander. Retired Michigan State Police Detective Lieutenant, Coloma Township Chief of Police, Michigan Attorney General Special Investigator.
The collaborative efforts included principals, the superintendent, the school board, and first responders. Randy has an impressive history as a trainer and facilitator. He is a Commercial pilot license holder, Certified Flight Instructor for single and multi-engine aircraft. American Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid Instructor, and was a firearms instructor while in the Michigan State Police.

Frank Williams
FACILITATOR
Frank Williams is a retired State Police officer with over a decade of leadership. Frank was a Fusion Center Liaison officer assigned to a Michigan Intelligence Operations Center developed to identify early threats in our communities.
MIOC operated with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies – including collaboration with Homeland Security. Frank completed his career as a supervisor on the Executive Protection Unit – Governor’s Security Detail. Frank has spent much of his career assessing and identifying early threat situations, or teaching others to do so.

Sonya Kasper
LOGISTICS
As Logistics and Research, Sonya brings with her over two decades of experience in business management, case management and client services. Sonya has more than 10 years of logistic planning nationwide and abroad.
Her diverse experiences and perspectives provide our team with invaluable trouble shooting ability.

Brianne Milroy
Facilitator, Researcher
Brianne Milroy serves as a School Counselor in Wisconsin public schools. Her passion for the well-being of students leads her focus to trauma informed care caused by internal and external school attacks.
During her 4 years as a School Counselor in Wisconsin her passion for promoting the mental health and well-being for all students has lead her focuses to trauma informed care, specifically trauma caused by internal and external school attacks.
Brianne supports the idea that a schools ability to teach at an optimal level relies on its ability to recover from direct and indirect trauma caused school attacks.

Casey Milroy
Facilitator, consultant
Casey Milroy is an Associate Principal in middle school and the leader for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. She aspires to create a safe, nurturing school environment where all students thrive.
During Casey’s eleven years teaching in elementary schools in the greater Milwaukee area, she led district & building wide professional learning for various curriculums, as well as training staff in Restorative Practices and Trauma Informed Care.
Casey is the leader for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, and aspires to create a safe, nurturing school environment where all students are seen, thrive and feel a sense of belonging.

Nathan Siudak
LEADERSHIP FACILITATOR
Nathan Siudak is an Executive Headhunter, and runs his own consulting company. Nathan has consulted with numerous leaders on how to effectively make changes that result in positive outcomes.
Nathan supports the ideas that leadership must embrace the premise that preparation, response, and recovery training is an important key to supporting the educators build and sustain the desired teaching environment.
